Pinta is a Partner and head of Tyr’s Medical Malpractice group. She has years of experience representing plaintiffs seriously injured through obstetrical negligence, surgical negligence, hospital negligence, delayed diagnosis and catastrophic brain injuries arising from medical negligence. Pinta helps patients pursue cases against doctors, nurses, hospitals, hospital employees, clinics and other health care institutions. Having previously defended physicians, Pinta is one of the few plaintiff side lawyers who can draw on her experience as defence counsel to effectively advocate for individuals injured by medical negligence.

Pinta has a broad civil and commercial litigation practice. Prior to joining Tyr, Pinta practiced commercial litigation at Lenczner Slaght LLP. Her commercial experience includes representing clients in shareholder disputes, complex contractual and commercial disputes and class actions. She has also served as a prosecutor for the College of Massage Therapists.

In addition to her trial practice, Pinta is the former co-editor of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association Medical Malpractice newsletter.

Teaching Engagements
