Pierre-Yves Leduc is a partner and Head of the Securities Group. His practice focuses primarily in the areas of mergers & acquisitions (public and private), securities and corporate finance. Assignments have included acting as counsel to issuers and underwriters in public offerings and private placements and to corporations in acquisitions and divestitures. He advised both buyers and sellers on numerous take-over bids, going-private and restructuring transactions. He also advises on corporate governance matters. In 2004, Pierre-Yves practiced law in the London office. He is a member of the office’s Associates Committee.
Pierre-Yves wrote the article “A U.S./Canadian Dialogue about the Current State of Poison Pills”, featured in the October issue of Business Law Today, the ABA’s Business Law section online publication.
Pierre-Yves is a member of the Canadian Bar Association. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Club of Montréal.
In March 2015, Pierre-Yves completed Harvard Law School’s Executive Education Program “Emerging Leaders in Law Firms.”
