Philippe Bennett is the senior litigation partner in Alston & Bird's New York Intellectual Property Litigation Group. Philippe is consistently named as one of the top intellectual property litigators in New York City.
Philippe has litigated and won numerous complex, high stakes litigations involving various technologies ranging from financial trading software, to pharmaceutical chemistry, drug delivery systems, cosmetics, and medical devices. Philippe is admitted to practice before various Federal District Courts, and the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Philippe also counsels clients on matters before the PTO, PTAB, and the International Trade Commission.
Philippe has lectured and published on recent developments in patent law and patent litigation. Philippe has taught intellectual property at Stevens Institute of Technology, has lectured on patent law at Harvard University, Fordham University, The Cooper Union, the Japanese Institute of Intellectual Property in Tokyo, BioTechnica in Germany,at the China IP Summit, and most recently lectured on intellectual property rights at the 2016 Dubai Design Week.
Philippe has an undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Harvard University, J.D. and LL.M degrees from Hofstra and Temple Universities, and an M.B.A. from Fordham University. He has also studied at the European School of Management and Technology.
