Peter Johannes Klein has been admitted as a German attorney since 2014 and joined Vossius & Partner Patentanwälte Rechtsanwälte mbB in Munich in 2017. His practice focuses on trademark, design, competition, and Internet law, with recognized practice in Litigation. He advises companies on the protection, enforcement, and strategic management of intellectual property rights in Germany and across international markets.
Mr. Klein represents clients in disputes involving trademark, design, and competition matters before German courts. His work includes the enforcement and defense of intellectual property rights as well as advising on the development and management of IP portfolios. He also counsels businesses on legal issues related to e‑commerce and digital business models, including matters involving copyright, personality rights, and data protection.
He studied law in Düsseldorf and began focusing on intellectual property law during his studies while working with the trademark department of a major German retail company. During his legal training, he further developed this focus through work with an international law firm and through traineeships with the Special Chamber for Competition and Copyright Law of the Regional Court of Düsseldorf, the German Indonesian Chamber of Commerce in Jakarta, and the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations in New York.
Mr. Klein regularly publishes articles in professional journals addressing trademark law and related areas of intellectual property. As a legal journalist focusing on developments in IP law, he reports on new court decisions and legislative developments. He is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property and Copyright (GRUR) and the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA).
