Peter Fabry's area of expertise is providing national and international tax advice to medium-sized companies, including advising on issues relating to VAT and Investment Tax, succession planning, structuring large estates and handling transactions for private clients, family offices and foundations, as well as advising on how to deal with the tax authorities, tax courts and law enforcement authorities in all matters pertaining to tax claims and tax avoidance issues.
He specialises in advising companies from the mechanical engineering, energy and commerce sectors. His long-standing clients also include financial service providers, banks, family offices and fund initiators.
After studying law in Freiburg and Munich, Germany and completing his traineeship in Bavaria, he worked as a tax assistant and lawyer for one of the big four accountancy firms. After passing his tax advisor exams and being admitted to the German Bar as a Specialist Lawyer for Tax Law (Fachanwalt für Steuerrecht), he was the managing director of a medium-sized consultancy firm and also the partner responsible for the tax law practice area.
In 2011, he was recognised by Fuchs Magazine as one of the best advisors for his advice on issues relating to exit taxation for private clients and also relocating business activities abroad. For many years, he has co-authored the corporate and tax law manual that is published by Dr Otto-Schmidt Verlag, Cologne.
