Biography
Payslie represents companies and individual, institutional, and tribal clients in complex litigation across state, federal, and tribal courts at both the trial and appellate levels.
Her practice encompasses a wide range of issues, including constitutional challenges, water rights adjudication, class action claims, tribal law, appellate advocacy, criminal defense, trust litigation, and other complex commercial and civil rights disputes. Payslie has substantial trial experience in Arizona’s general stream adjudication proceedings and served on the negotiating team for one of the nation’s largest Indian water rights settlements. She has also guided clients through hearings before the Arizona Office of Administrative Hearings and the Arizona Board of Executive Clemency.
Payslie also dedicates significant time to pro bono service, focusing on post-conviction relief, transgender legal issues, and immigration matters. In 2021, she was named among the “Top 50 Pro Bono Attorneys in Arizona,” by the Arizona Foundation for Legal Services and Education.
Before joining Osborn Maledon, Payslie clerked for the Honorable Chief Justice Ann Timmer of the Arizona Supreme Court. She graduated Order of the Coif from the University of California, Davis School of Law.
Payslie has been selected by Best Lawyers® as among the “Ones to Watch” in Commercial Litigation from 2022-2026. In 2025, she was also recognized by Southwest Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in Business Litigation. She served as the firm’s Recruiting Chair from 2023-2025.
