Biography
Mr. Saputo has practiced throughout Texas in more than fifty Texas state and federal courts. He has obtained hundreds of dismissals and acquittals for clients facing a wide array of serious charges. He has also developed groundbreaking innovations in defense strategies and tactics.
Mr. Saputo is a graduate of the elite Duke University School of Law, a nationally recognized top-ten law school in the United States. Before graduating law school, he worked for a Federal District Court Judge and wrote several appellate briefs for defendants in California challenging convictions related to medical marijuana laws in that state.
After law school, Mr. Saputo worked as an attorney at the internationally renowned law firm of Vinson & Elkins, LLP. While there Mr. Saputo helped represent some of the largest companies in the world and received high-level legal training. After leaving Vinson & Elkins, he worked for and with several of the leading criminal defense attorneys in the state of Texas before he founded the firm.
Now he brings his high-level legal training and experience to each one of his clients’ cases. And above all, his commitment to zealously representing his clients in court drives him to the great degree of success that he enjoys in the practice of criminal defense law.
Mr. Saputo has written extensively about criminal law in Texas and maintains detailed articles about all of the laws in the Texas Penal Code.
