Patrick G. Welsh

Patrick Welsh is a partner in the Environmental Group in Toronto. Pat provides environmental advice to clients on commercial transactions, including land transactions, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity offerings, and insolvencies and restructurings.

Pat regularly works with environmental scientists and land use planners and draws on his extensive environmental transactional and regulatory experience to identify and mitigate environmental risks and address clients’ environmental business needs. His practice includes environmental due diligence, environmental insurance (including pollution legal liability and environmental transactional representation and warranty insurance), brownfields redevelopment, waste diversion, recycling and extended/individual producer responsibility, transportation of dangerous goods and hazardous wastes, emissions and discharges, contaminated lands, records of site condition, risk assessments, regulatory orders, waste and soil, asbestos and other designated substances, and general environmental regulatory compliance.
