Pablo Escobar is a Founding Partner of Vector Blue Advisors, a tax strategy firm based in Santiago, Chile. He is both a lawyer and a certified public accountant (Contador Auditor), and advises family businesses, business groups, investment funds and individuals on tax compliance, tax oversight and the recurring tax matters of their operations, as well as on audits and controversies before the Chilean Internal Revenue Service (SII).
Before co-founding Vector Blue in 2026, Pablo spent six years in the tax practice of Guerrero Olivos, first as an associate and later as a senior associate. Previously, he worked for nine years as a tax auditor at the SII, in the Legal Department's Tax Crimes Division, and began his career as a tax auditor at Deloitte.
This combination of experience on the authority side, at a Big Four firm and at a leading law firm gives him a practical view of how the SII reviews and challenges tax positions, which he applies to help clients anticipate contingencies and make decisions with certainty. He regularly writes on Chilean tax reform, including recent analysis of the transitional regime for balances inherited from the former FUT system.
Pablo holds a law degree (Licenciado en Ciencias Jurídicas) from Universidad Finis Terrae and a degree in Accounting and Auditing (Contador Auditor) from Universidad Diego Portales. He also completed the Diploma in Tax Analysis and Planning at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
