Keith Lichtman is a board-certified construction lawyer in Florida and a trained and registered mediator in Georgia with more than 20 years of experience handling complex commercial disputes and litigation matters. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Lichtman represents clients throughout the southeastern United States in matters involving construction litigation, surety bonds, construction defects, commercial crime and insurance policies, financial institution bonds, and collections disputes. His practice at Mills Law Group includes Litigation - Construction matters for contractors, developers, sureties, insurers, and commercial clients.
Several legal industry organizations have recognized Mr. Lichtman. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina.
In addition to his litigation and mediation work, Mr. Lichtman frequently lectures across the United States on construction, surety, fidelity, and insurance coverage issues. He has authored and contributed to publications including The Law of Performance Bonds, The Law of Payment Bonds, The Surety Underwriter's Desk Book, The Commercial Crime Policy, and the Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Law Journal.
Mr. Lichtman is also active in pro bono service, including handling adoptions through Atlanta Legal Aid’s Grandparent/Caregiver Adoption Project. Following law school, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Gregory Shaw of the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals. Justice Shaw currently serves on the Alabama Supreme Court.
