Nicholas Salalayko is an associate in Pierce Atwood’s Energy Practice Group.
Prior to joining Pierce Atwood, Nick worked for a small Boston-based energy-focused law firm where he advised clients on energy regulatory and administrative matters related to solar, wind, hydro, and natural gas projects. He also advised clients on issues ranging from obtaining agency approval for municipal entity financing to compliance strategies related to the Commonwealth’s environmental justice initiative.
Nick also is experienced in interpreting RTO’s open access transmission tariff provisions, FERC rules and procedures, and state regulatory procedures for environmental permitting.
While attending Suffolk University Law School, Nick interned for an associate justice of the Superior Court of Massachusetts and served as a note editor for the Suffolk Journal of Trial & Appellate Advocacy, Moot Court Honor Board.
Before beginning his legal career, Nick worked as an account manager for an industrial chemical distribution company located in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
