Nick acts for insolvency practitioners, major Australian and international banks, non-bank lenders, publicly listed companies and financial services providers. He is appointed by the Victorian Legal Services Board to manage legal practices in financial or operational difficulty. He is based in Melbourne.
Nick advises across all aspects of corporate insolvency including receivership, voluntary administration and liquidation, and personal insolvency. He also acts for a range of parties involved in commercial litigation. His experience includes first-hand in-house banking experience gained as Legal Counsel at Fortis Bank in Dublin (now Credit Suisse), which specialised in the provision of banking services to investment funds.
Nick has more than 16 years of specialist experience in insolvency and commercial litigation. He acts for Australia’s largest insolvency and restructuring firms, which has included Teneo, Deloitte, McGrathNicol, Ernst & Young, Grant Thornton and FTI Consulting.
Nick combines insolvency depth with in-house banking experience and cross-border perspective gained from his time in Ireland. His accounting qualifications inform his commercial approach to credit-related disputes and insolvency engagements.
