Niall Rand

Niall Rand is a member of Fasken’s Specialty Litigation and Dispute Resolution group in Vancouver. He assists clients in the energy and resources sectors, with a focus on Indigenous, environmental and regulatory law.

Niall completed a master’s degree at the University of British Columbia after studying law at Queen Mary University of London in the United Kingdom. He brings international experience to Fasken, having worked for the Centre for Small States, and believes in a client-centric approach to the practice of law.

During his legal studies, he researched the nexus between Canada’s environmental regulatory frameworks and the revitalization of Indigenous legal traditions. He was awarded the Canadian Bar Association’s David Estrin Prize in 2017 for his writing in these areas.
