Nancy McKinley advises individuals and families throughout Rochester, New York, on matters involving Trusts and Estates, estate administration, elder law, and long-term care planning. At Lacy Katzen LLP, she works closely with Executors, Administrators, and Trustees to guide them through the process of settling a decedent’s estate or trust, including probate proceedings, petitions for letters of administration when no will exists, and the administration and distribution of estate and trust assets.
Nancy assists families as they plan for changing care needs and transitions to assisted living facilities, senior living communities, and nursing home care. She helps clients evaluate long-term care options, prepare Medicaid applications, and develop asset preservation strategies related to nursing home care and long-term care planning.
Her practice also includes estate and tax planning for individuals and families with a variety of personal and financial considerations. Nancy works with clients on charitable giving strategies, planning for loved ones with special needs, planning for blended families and second marriages, and preparing important advance directives such as Powers of Attorney and Health Care Proxies.
Nancy regularly presents seminars on elder law and Trusts and Estates topics throughout the Rochester community.
