Myriam Brixi

Myriam Brixi practises in civil and commercial litigation, primarily in the areas of class actions, product liability and insurance law. She has participated in complex class actions raising important legal issues, including a wide range of multi-jurisdictional class actions. The experience she has gained in these major cases has enabled her to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the procedural and strategic aspects of class actions in Canada. Me Brixi is ranked as a Future Star by Benchmark Litigation Canada and is recommended for her work in class actions in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Class Action Section of the Canadian Bar Association, Québec Branch.

In addition, Ms. Brixi represents various insurance companies and their insureds in civil and professional liability matters, particularly in the construction industry.

She is also actively involved in her community. In particular, she has been appointed by the Barreau du Québec to sit on its Committee on Access to Justice and she is the co-chair of the Citizenship and Charters Committee of the Canadian Bar Association, Québec Branch. Based on her involvement in a number of good causes, she was nominated in the Pro Bono/Social Involvement category at the "Leaders of Tomorrow" Gala of the Young Bar of Montreal.

Ms. Brixi was called to the Barreau du Québec in 2010 after obtaining a law degree from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2008. She also holds a Juris Doctor degree and spent a semester at the Université de Rennes I, in France.
