Monica Chawla

Monica Chawla concentrates her practice on business law and commercial litigation, representing individuals, businesses, shareholders, and executives in complex state and federal court matters.

Monica has experience negotiating commercial agreements and litigating a wide variety of business disputes varying from complex commercial litigation to employment law and intellectual property litigation.

Monica graduated with a degree in Biology from Hunter College. Thereafter, Monica earned her J.D. from the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center where she served as senior editor of the Touro Law Review and graduated as valedictorian of her class.

While in law school, Monica operated her own perfume and cologne business and now utilizes her entrepreneurship skills to implement unique strategies to better serve her clients with an honest and direct approach to solve intricate legal issues.

Monica is a charter member of TiE New York, an organization that helps foster community amongst investors and founders. Monica is the Vice President of Events for the South Asian Bar Association of New York, an organization that elevates South Asian legal professionals through networking, mentorship, and advocacy. Monica is also a board member of the South Asian Bar Association of North America Foundation which supports access to justice for South Asian communities in North America.

Monica is fluent in Italian, Spanish, Punjabi and Hindi.
