Mitchell Abood is an Associate with Peckar & Abramson PC, where he practices in the firm’s Construction & Infrastructure and Business Litigation groups. Based in the Miami, Florida office, Mitchell represents owners, contractors, subcontractors, and other project participants in a range of construction-related disputes, including construction defect claims, breach of contract matters, and other forms of commercial litigation.
Mitchell’s practice focuses on Construction Law, Commercial Litigation, and Litigation - Construction, with experience supporting matters at various stages of dispute resolution. His work involves analyzing project documentation, assisting with motion practice, and supporting litigation strategy in complex construction and business disputes pending in state and federal courts.
Mitchell earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, he served as Editor of the University of Miami Law Review Symposium, contributing to the planning and publication of scholarly legal programming.
During law school, Mitchell served as a judicial intern for multiple courts, including the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Michigan Supreme Court. He also worked as a legal intern with the Miami State Attorney’s Office, where he assisted attorneys with trial preparation, including witness preparation, direct examinations, and opening statements.
