Minturn Wright is a founding partner at Shannon & Wright LLP in Alexandria, Virginia, where his practice focuses on Real Estate Law, Litigation - Real Estate, and related business matters. With more than three decades of legal experience, he represents clients in real estate transactions, property-related disputes, tax appeals, tax sales, civil rights litigation, and insurance defense matters.
Over the course of his career, Minturn has advised individuals, businesses, and organizations on a wide range of legal and transactional issues involving commercial and residential real estate. His experience also includes environmental matters, business entity formation and governance, including corporations and limited liability companies, as well as trademark and licensing matters.
Minturn has practiced with firms of varying sizes, from international law firms to smaller boutique practices. Before co-founding Shannon & Wright LLP, he practiced at Rich Rosenthal Brincefield Manitta Dzubin & Kroeger, LLP, where he concentrated on real estate and business matters. He also worked with a property tax consultancy addressing property tax assessment and over-taxation issues.
In addition to his private practice work, Minturn has provided pro bono legal services to nonprofit and governmental organizations and has served on the governing boards of several charitable foundations. His commitment to community involvement extends beyond the practice of law through educational outreach, public presentations, and participation in academic and professional programs.
