Biography
Milton “Dee” Hobbs is a native of Oxford, Mississippi, and his family has lived in the community for five generations. Based in the Oxford office of Harris Shelton PLLC, his practice centers on Real Estate Law as well as business and corporate matters. He works with individuals, developers, and businesses on residential and commercial real estate transactions, real estate development projects, and land use matters.
Dee regularly assists clients with zoning, land use entitlements, commercial and residential development, and commercial condominium projects. His work includes advising businesses involved in retail, healthcare systems and physician practice groups, restaurants and bars, energy operations, recreation, timber, and mixed-use developments. He also handles contract negotiations in healthcare law and works with healthcare regulatory matters and related transactions.
In addition, Dee manages real estate closings for commercial, recreational, and residential property purchases and sales. He serves as a title agent for Chicago Title Insurance Company and works to facilitate efficient and organized closings for buyers, sellers, and lenders.
His broader business practice includes advising clients on a wide range of commercial transactions. Dee negotiates and helps close stock and asset purchases and sales, mergers, joint ventures, and technology licensing arrangements, assisting clients through each stage of the transaction process.
