Biography

Michelle Heron is a Dallas, Texas divorce attorney with nearly 30 years of trial experience focused on family law matters. At Hargrave Family Law, she represents individuals and families through divorce, custody disputes, and other family law issues. For more than five years, a significant portion of her practice has involved securing protective orders in cases of domestic violence, child abuse, and neglect. Her work is driven by a strong commitment to child welfare and a practical understanding of the legal and emotional challenges families face during times of transition.

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Michelle has called Texas home since 1987. She earned her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in 1994 after graduating summa cum laude from St. Mary’s University with a degree in Multinational Organizational Studies. Michelle is licensed to practice law in Texas and Maryland and is admitted to practice before several federal district courts in Texas.

Within the legal community, Michelle is known for her service-oriented approach to family law. She is certified as an ad litem for both children and adults and has received recognition for her pro bono work. She remains actively involved in legal education and advocacy efforts, bringing a thoughtful and steady perspective to her role at Hargrave Family Law while guiding clients through important decisions affecting their families and futures.

Michelle is also deeply engaged in community service throughout the Dallas area. She supports organizations that assist families in crisis, including The Family Place and Genesis Women’s Shelter. In addition, she serves on the Advisory Board for the Dallas College Paralegal Program, mentoring future legal professionals, and regularly participates in speaking engagements and publications addressing child protection and family law topics.
