Michael Klatt

Michael leads our Wills & Estates team. He assists clients with their estate planning; from individuals with simple affairs to high net wealth clients with complex business structures and blended families.

Clients appreciate Michael's practical advice in estate planning matters, business structuring, trusts, asset protection, family disputes and other general advice.

Michael is often called on to resolve complex estate litigation matters involving contested Wills. This includes regular appointments by the Supreme Court of Queensland as administrator in complex estates. In each case, his honest, fair and reasonable advice about how to resolve matters in the most timely and cost-effective way is valued by all parties involved.

With more than 30 years' experience in Wills and Estates law, Michael has been recognised by the profession as a leader in his field. He has been a Queensland Law Society (QLS) Accredited Specialist in Succession Law since 2002 and is a member of the Specialist Accreditation Board of the QLS, the Board overseeing the QLS Specialist Accreditation programme for various areas of law.
