Michael Jones

Michael J. Jones represents clients in complex civil and commercial litigation, with an emphasis on insurance-related disputes. His practice focuses on Litigation – Insurance, handling matters that arise at the intersection of policy interpretation, claims handling, and coverage litigation.

Michael is a partner in Rivkin Radler LLP’s Commercial Litigation and Insurance Coverage Practice Groups. He represents insurance companies in insurance coverage litigation and extra-contractual disputes in state and federal courts throughout the United States. His work includes advising carriers on coverage obligations, litigation strategy, and risk management considerations across a wide range of insurance products.

Michael regularly handles matters involving insurance coverage disputes, environmental contamination, professional liability, directors and officers liability, general liability, toxic torts, wrongful death, premises liability, contract interpretation, product liability, construction defect, employee benefits liability, and other insurance-related claims. His litigation experience spans all phases of a case, from early evaluation and motion practice through discovery, trial preparation, and resolution.

In addition, Michael serves as coverage counsel to a national insurer on matters arising under pollution legal liability, general liability, and professional liability policies. He advises on claims involving environmental consultants, insurance brokers, technology companies, educational institutions, and attorneys, providing guidance on complex coverage and liability issues.
