Mike Decker is a highly experienced litigator specializing in construction law, insurance defense, and complex commercial litigation. He boasts a strong record of favorable jury trial verdicts in both Colorado and Wyoming courts.

Mr. Decker consistently receives top-tier recognition for his legal prowess and ethical conduct. He holds an "AV Preeminent" rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest distinction available. Since 2012, he has been honored as a "Colorado Super Lawyer" in civil litigation and construction law—a recognition achieved by only 5% of Colorado lawyers annually. Notably, he was among the few attorneys to earn this distinction before the age of 40.

His extensive career includes robust relationships with national insurance carriers; both Mr. Decker and his firm are listed in Best's Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys and serve as panel counsel for numerous carriers in Colorado and Wyoming. He also maintains long-standing relationships with many large construction and commercial companies.

With over 100 construction defect actions under his belt as lead litigation counsel, Mr. Decker currently represents general contractors, trade contractors, and design professionals in disputes and negotiations. He is a frequent speaker for construction and insurance industry groups on topics such as construction law, litigation tactics, risk management, and insurance issues. He has also contributed to The Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Construction Law.

Mr. Decker is proficient in mechanic's lien litigation, having successfully recovered millions for clients whose payments were withheld by owners or lenders.

Over the past 25 years, Mr. Decker has successfully litigated hundreds of cases in Colorado state and federal courts. His diverse caseload includes commercial general liability, product liability, personal injury, contract disputes, and construction-related claims. Many of his past cases have been selected for official publication by the Colorado Supreme Court and Colorado Court of Appeals, including:
