Michael Dietzler completed the study of law at the University of Cologne from 1991 to 1997. Before deciding to join Küttner, he gained professional experience in company and employment law in English speaking countries. Of particular note are his positions at a US automobile manufacturer in Detroit, as well as at a major international law firm in London. At Küttner, Michael Dietzler is specialized in individual and collective employment law. He joined the firm in 1999. He advises, counsels and represents well-known clients from the automobile, telecommunication, and energy industries, among others. Included in his client base are, however, also medium-sized enterprises, and executives and managing directors. Among the main areas of his practice are employment law advice and representation of company restructuring, in particular preparing and conducting reconciliation of interests and social compensation plan negotiations, as well as providing employment law advice and counsel for company acquisitions, providing advice and representation in matters related to works council co-determination, the drafting of terms of employment and employment agreements, as well as providing advice and counsel for employer and executive severance matters. In the collective employment law practice area, Michael Dietzler has longstanding experience in the drafting and negotiation of works agreements, as well as representing employers in front of labor courts. In the individual employment law practice area, he routinely provides advice and counsel to employers and executives in all employment law matters and represents them before the labor courts. Michael Dietzler was a commercial and employment law lecturer at the University of Niederrhein from 2007 to 2013. He is also an author for the Bank-Collegium of the Academy of German Cooperatives in the field of employment law.
