Biography
Michael Cooper is a partner at Whelton Hiutin. His commercial litigation practice focuses on construction, real estate and leasing, shareholder disputes and employment law. In the areas of construction and real estate litigation, Michael has represented a number of large land developers and contractors in complex disputes. He has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario, representing clients at trials, applications and motions. He has also appeared before a number of administrative tribunals, including the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
Michael obtained his LL.B. from Queen’s University after receiving his Bachelor of Education from the University of Nipissing and Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Ottawa.
Michael is a member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations and is a sports enthusiast, he plays competitive basketball, coaches youth baseball and is an avid Crossfitter.
