After studying law and economics at the University of Freiburg, Ekkehard Hagedorn undertook his legal traineeship in Paris, with study periods at the London School of Economics. Ekkehard Hagedorn took his doctorate at the University of Freiburg (Dr. jur.). He is currently a member of the board of examiners for specialist attorneys in the field of inheritance law and of the Working Group on Inheritance Law of the German Bar Association (DAV).

Prof. Dr. Christof Hettich is specialised in the fields of Mergers & Acquisitions, the structuring and restructuring of companies as well as general corporate law. For many years, he has chaired or held seats on a number of supervisory boards including those of listed companies in various industry sectors. Prof. Dr. Hettich is honorary professor at SRH University Heidelberg and lectured at Heidelberg University (LL.M. corporate restructuring) until 2014.

Stephan Baur studied at the universities of Passau, Munich and Freiburg, where he also took his doctorate (Dr. jur.). He is currently a lecturer in private business law at the distance learning university HFH Hamburg. In addition, he is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR) and of supervisory boards of commercial companies.
