Biography
Mia S. Blackler is a partner with Lubin Olson in San Francisco, California. She practices in the firm’s Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Real Estate Litigation, and Employment service groups and chairs the Creditor’s Rights, Receiverships, & Insolvency service group. Her practice focuses on commercial, real property, and financial institutions litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts, including matters involving mortgage banking and foreclosure law.
Ms. Blackler represents financial institutions, mortgage servicers, lenders, and other businesses in a wide range of disputes. Her litigation experience includes wrongful foreclosure defense, bank operations disputes, interbank conflicts, and complex commercial litigation. She regularly handles matters involving the enforcement of creditors’ rights, including prosecuting collection actions, seeking prejudgment remedies, and pursuing or defending receiverships. Her work has also involved complex fraud claims and class action litigation.
In addition to her litigation practice, Ms. Blackler advises employers on employment law compliance and risk management. She provides counseling on workplace policies, regulatory developments, and other legal issues affecting employer–employee relationships. When disputes arise, she represents employers in claims involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and compensation matters before courts and administrative agencies. Ms. Blackler also serves as monitoring counsel for matters handled through business insurance programs.
