Client Testimonials

Melinda Caterine is a true pleasure to deal with. She is incredibly responsive and understanding at very reasonable rates. Her professionalism and expertise are superior. I highly recommend her.

I have known Melinda Caterine for several years now and it has been a distinct pleasure to work with her. She is very bright and insightful, quick to grasp the issues at hand, understand the parties involved, your concerns, objectives, and needs. She is a quick learner and very able to discern the nuances of your particular business or industry. Melinda gets the politics of your situation which helps you work to achieve the best solution in the most efficient yet thorough manner. She never leaves you hanging and works relentlessly until her work on your behalf is completed. Melinda is well respected throughout the legal community and she is a leader within the women's legal community. She is an advocate for women and our issues and gives of herself and her time to educate and assist in the development of the women's community. This includes being a role model for young girls with big aspirations to someday be just like her. What impresses me most about Melinda is that she works as hard as she does, is as involved as she is, and yet she balances all of this with family. She is very much a part of her family and her children's lives which enables her to be a whole person. In turn, in my humble opinion, this makes her a better attorney, a more functioning member of her firm, and a greater asset to her clients.

If you want an attorney who will represent your company in a professional manner with utmost integrity, who brings extensive experience and knowledge to the process on your behalf, and who works with tireless tenacity to bring you the required result, you need Melinda Caterine. She is both charming and assertive, understanding and forceful. She is a fierce competitor who does not like to lose, yet she understands when it is in the best interest of her client to find a compromise. Melinda is highly regarded amongst her peers in the Maine legal community and is a leader of the Maine Women's Law Section. In addition to all of her professional strengths and achievements, as a wife and mother of two children, Melinda faces the daily challenge of balancing family and career in the 21st century. She speaks often and lovingly of her family and works to make the time for important family events. She is a great role model for young women, particularly those aspiring to the legal profession. She has encouraged my own daughter's enthusiasm for the legal profession and provided her with the opportunity to job shadow during her junior year in high school. In conjunction with the community work which she performs, Melinda is involved with the Maine Women's Fund. She has worked with the fund in various capacities over the past several years. In 2009, Melinda nominated the Maine Women's Fund's winner of the Sarah Orne Jewett Award, a woman she knew through the work she did on behalf of teenage mothers.
