Biography
Meghan focuses her practice on personal injury litigation and medical negligence, advocating for individuals and families affected by serious accidents. Committed to helping clients navigate their challenges, she strives for positive outcomes that help them reshape and rebuild their lives. Meghan has represented clients in various legal forums, including appearances before the Superior Court of Justice, the Divisional Court, the Court of Appeal of Ontario, the Financial Services Commission, and the Licence Appeal Tribunal. Her experience extends to the Court of Queens Bench of New Brunswick.
Initially starting her career by defending insurance companies, Meghan soon discovered her dedication to helping those impacted by unforeseen circumstances. Since joining Howie, Sacks & Henry in 2004, she has pursued a fulfilling career rooted in personal injury law.
As an active member of the legal community, Meghan serves as an Executive Member of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Trial Lawyers’ Association. She holds memberships with several key organizations, such as the Canadian Bar Association, Advocates Society, Ontario Bar Association, Toronto Lawyers’ Association, Medical Legal Society, and the Women’s Law Association of Ontario (WLAO). Meghan is a contributor to various legal publications and regularly speaks at conferences and events. She volunteers her time as a mentor with the WLAO and is involved in fundraising for Shelter Movers, a national charity aiding survivors of domestic violence. Additionally, she has volunteered with the Canadian Brain Injury Association and the Brain Injury Society of Toronto.
