Biography
Megan Lane represents individuals, businesses, and health care professionals in a range of legal matters from the firm’s Memphis, Tennessee office at Harris Shelton PLLC. Her practice includes Family Law, Health Care Law, and Medical Malpractice Law – Defendants, along with general civil litigation. Megan works with clients to address complex legal issues while focusing on practical strategies and clear communication throughout the legal process.
Megan regularly represents health care providers and organizations in medical malpractice defense matters and advises clients on issues affecting the health care industry. She also assists individuals and families with matters involving divorce, child custody, child support enforcement, dependency and neglect proceedings, adoptions, and related family law disputes. In addition, Megan has experience handling trust disputes and other civil litigation matters.
Before joining Harris Shelton PLLC, Megan practiced with Shea Moskovitz & McGhee, PLLC in Memphis, Tennessee for four years. During that time, she represented clients in a variety of litigation and dispute resolution matters, with a focus on family law cases including divorce, custody disputes, and adoption proceedings.
Megan earned her law degree from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. While in law school, she served as a member of the Moot Court Board and competed in two national appellate advocacy competitions. She also worked as a legal extern with Regional One Health, where she assisted with litigation preparation related to the defense of medical malpractice claims.
