Maximilian Koch

Dipl.-Kfm. Dr. iur. Maximilian Koch is the Managing Director and Founder of KOCH Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH in Dusseldorf, Germany.

He studied economics at the University of Hagen (Diplom-Kaufmann) and law at the University of Osnabruck (1st legal state exam with honors, ranking among the top 5% of graduates), in addition to earning his Dr. iur. "summa cum laude". After completing his legal clerkship in Lower Saxony, he excelled in the 2nd state law examination, achieving a high distinction and ranking among the top 10% of graduates. Dr. Koch comes from an entrepreneurial family. Prior to embarking on his legal career, he held managerial roles in the plastics industry. With over 20 years of professional experience as a business lawyer, Dr. Koch has served as a partner in both medium-sized German and large international law firms. Before establishing KOCH, he held the position of Partner/Principal at Ernst & Young for over nine years.

His expertise encompasses legal counsel on corporate strategy matters, legal corporate and financial advice, and innovative legal structuring. In addition, he is actively involved in arbitration proceedings and represents clients before German courts, particularly in commercial and corporate law disputes.
