Maurice Joseph "Joe" FitzGerald III

Joe FitzGerald is an associate in the firm’s Corporate and Securities Practice Group. His practice is focused on corporate transactions and general corporate matters, including private equity mergers and acquisitions.

Joe retired from the Alabama Army National Guard after 20 years of service. Most recently he served as a Brigade Level Senior Operations Officer and as the Commander of a Special Forces Advanced Operations Base in Trans-Saharan Africa in 2020. Prior to attending law school, he served as a U.S. Army Special Forces Officer (Green Beret) and was an Operational Detachment Commander in Iraq and Qatar. Additionally, Joe was employed as a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch, where he worked primarily with small businesses.
