Ms. Witt's 32 years of experience span a wide variety of subject matters including commercial litigation, labor and employment, products liability, business torts, personal injury and medical malpractice, antitrust, oil and gas, toxic torts, and other areas. In the area of labor and employment, Ms. Witt has defended employers against a broad range of claims including sex, age, and race discrimination; wrongful discharge; breach of express and implied covenants; and National Railway Labor Act claims. She has also advised clients with respect to preparations for strikes, significant reductions-in-force, and other employment-related issues. Ms. Witt has substantial experience representing employers and other entities in class actions and putative class actions. She has also represented a number of professional sports entities and members of the entertainment industry.
Ms. Witt has also handled a wide variety of commercial litigation and a significant amount of products liability litigation in multiple jurisdictions.Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Ms. Witt was a law clerk for the Honorable Robert H. McWilliams of the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 1992, Ms. Witt was one of three nominees to the Governor for a judgeship on the Colorado Court of Appeals. Ms. Witt served as Holland & Hart's Managing Partner from 1988 to 1991, and she served on the firm's Management Committee from 2004 to 2006.
Ms. Witt teaches regularly at the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and lectures frequently on trial advocacy. Ms. Witt has published articles on topics related to trial advocacy, employment law, products liability, and related subjects.
