Matthew Roberts

Matt Roberts, an of counsel in the Complex Litigation & Restructuring practice group, represents creditors and debtors in bankruptcy matters, focusing on creditors’ rights in Chapters 7 and 11. Having spent time as an in-house attorney for a major payment processor, Matt has a unique understanding of the intersection between bankruptcy and merchant acquiring, as well as corporate clients’ needs more generally.

Matt has represented creditors in a variety of restructuring settings, including the purchase of assets out of bankruptcy, defense against claims of preference and fraudulent transfer, and general bankruptcy litigation. Matt’s experience also includes the representation of a merchant processor as a creditor in a Chapter 11 case.
