He brings commercial insight from prior in-house roles across multiple sectors and board experience on ASX listed and unlisted companies.
Matthew advises on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital markets, private equity and corporate advisory. He has particular expertise advising clients in energy and resources, technology, agriculture, construction and manufacturing, with a significant cross-border element particularly for inbound investment to Australia from US and Asian capital markets investors and business owners.
Matthew led the $148 million acquisition by Leges Holdings (the Australian arm of US food manufacturing giant OSI Group) of its joint venture partner's interest in Australian chicken and food producer Turosi, including a $44 million private placement. He managed all aspects of the share sale deed negotiation and transaction close, including complex indemnity structuring to manage early effective control transfer within the joint venture. He also advised on the $33 million equity capital funding for Fetch Metals and led the Licella Holdings Altona advanced recycling facility project as co-lead on real estate aspects.
Matthew's in-house and board experience gives him commercial perspective that informs his advisory approach. His cross-border practice, particularly with US and Asian inbound investors, reflects sustained engagement with international deal dynamics.
