Matthew Rendely

Matthew Rendely is a Partner and co-lead of the Estate Litigation practice group at Loopstra Nixon LLP. He practices exclusively in the areas of wills, estates, trusts, powers of attorney, guardianship, and capacity related litigation.

Matthew is a strong and passionate advocate for his clients. He has successfully represented clients at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada.

Matthew’s expertise in estate litigation is widely recognized by his clients and colleagues. In addition to his recognition in Best Lawyers “Ones to Watch” Matthew has been ranked in the “Private Wealth Disputes – Canada” category of Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide as an “Up and Coming” lawyer. In 2021, Matthew was awarded the Hoffstein Book Prize by the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) for his contributions and achievements to the area of wills, trusts and estates. He currently serves as the Vice-Chair on the OBA’s Elder Law Executive committee.
