Biography
Born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska, Matt Millea attended Catholic schools, including Mount Michael, a Benedictine boarding school in Elkhorn, Nebraska. The discipline and structure of that environment shaped his approach to academics and personal responsibility. Matt competed in track all four years of high school, focusing on the half-mile, and carried that dedication forward to the University of Nebraska, where he completed both his undergraduate and legal studies, graduating with high honors. He remains deeply motivated by gratitude for his family, a strong sense of history, and the values instilled in him from an early age.
Matt’s decision to pursue a legal career was influenced by his grandfather, Bill Millea, who grew up in Emmetsburg, Iowa, and raised 13 children with his wife, Mary, during the Depression and World War II. Bill admired lawyers for their ability to help people navigate difficult moments. Matt’s other grandfather, Clem DuPuis, was a pharmacist who, alongside his wife Erna, built an independent drugstore in Milwaukee after World War II through years of relentless hard work. These family examples of perseverance, service, and commitment had a lasting impact on Matt. He also learned valuable lessons from his father, who served as a police officer and later as a guidance counselor at Boys Town and community colleges, reinforcing the importance of advocacy and helping others.
Today, Matt practices law in Phoenix, Arizona with Robbins Curtin Millea & Showalter LLC. His work focuses on representing plaintiffs in Medical Malpractice Law, Personal Injury Litigation, and Product Liability Litigation. Matt is committed to guiding individuals and families through complex legal challenges with careful preparation, clear communication, and a strong work ethic. His background and professional experience continue to inform his dedication to protecting the rights and interests of those he represents throughout Arizona.
