Matthew E. "Matt" Steinbrink is a partner and shareholder at SiebenCarey who represents individuals and families throughout Minnesota in personal injury and wrongful death cases. His practice includes claims involving car, motorcycle, boating, ATV, trucking, and tractor-trailer accidents, as well as medical malpractice, product liability, premises liability, and liquor liability.
Matt joined SiebenCarey in 2012 and has built his practice around helping injured people navigate the legal and financial challenges that can follow a serious accident. He is a Certified Civil Trial Law Specialist through the Minnesota State Bar Association, a distinction earned by fewer than three percent of licensed Minnesota attorneys. He is also a member of the Academy of Certified Trial Lawyers of Minnesota.
Before becoming an attorney, Matt worked as a carpenter building homes throughout Minnesota. Growing up on Minnesota's Iron Range and working in the trades gave him firsthand insight into the impact an injury can have on people whose livelihoods depend on their physical ability to work. That experience continues to inform his practical, client-focused approach to personal injury law.
Matt has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America® for Personal Injury Litigation - Plaintiffs since 2024. He has also been selected as a Minnesota Super Lawyers honoree every year since 2023, following earlier recognition as a Minnesota Rising Stars honoree from 2013 through 2015.
Beyond his work with clients, Matt is actively involved in Minnesota's legal community. He serves on the Board of Governors and several committees for the Minnesota Association for Justice and frequently lectures and writes on personal injury law. Through both his legal practice and professional leadership, Matt remains focused on protecting the rights of injured people and helping clients understand their options at every stage of the legal process.
