Q&A

My practice focuses on representing individuals and families who have been injured due to someone else’s negligence, including personal injury, auto accidents, wrongful death, and product liability matters throughout Oakland and the Bay Area.

What distinguishes my practice is the perspective I bring from working in several areas of law before concentrating on personal injury. I have represented both individuals and businesses in matters involving real estate, contracts, and debt collection, which has provided me with a broad understanding of the legal system and the various challenges clients may encounter.

I also place a strong emphasis on communication and personal attention. I want clients to understand the progress of their case, feel comfortable asking questions, and know they have an advocate guiding them through the process. Being fluent in both English and Farsi also allows me to work with a diverse range of clients and families across the Bay Area.

Do I have a case? That is often one of the first questions clients ask. Every situation is different, so I begin by listening to what happened, reviewing the available facts, and helping the client understand whether another person or company may be legally responsible for their injuries.

What is my case worth? There is usually not an immediate answer. The value of a personal injury claim can depend on many factors, including the nature of the injuries, medical treatment, lost income, available insurance coverage, and the overall impact the injury has had on the person’s life. I explain those factors to clients and continue evaluating the case as additional information becomes available.

How long will my case take? The timeline can vary considerably from case to case. Some claims may be resolved relatively quickly, while others may require litigation. I work to give clients realistic expectations and keep them informed about the status of their case throughout the process.

Should I speak with the insurance company? Clients are often contacted by insurance companies shortly after an accident. I generally encourage them to be cautious about giving recorded statements or signing documents before understanding how those decisions could affect their claim. Part of my role is helping clients navigate those communications and understand their options.

What should I be doing after an accident? I encourage clients to focus on their recovery, follow the recommendations of their medical providers, keep records related to the accident and their injuries, and ask questions whenever they are uncertain about something. My goal is to help make the legal process understandable so clients can focus on moving forward.

One of the most challenging aspects of personal injury law is that no two cases are exactly alike. Questions involving liability, insurance coverage, medical treatment, and available evidence can all influence how a case develops, which makes it important to evaluate each matter based on its own facts and circumstances rather than rely on a one-size-fits-all approach.

There is also a significant personal component to this work. Clients are often coping with injuries, financial pressure, and uncertainty about the future. My role involves not only addressing the legal and procedural aspects of a case, but also communicating clearly, setting realistic expectations, and helping clients stay informed throughout the process.

The combination of legal complexity and the very real impact an injury can have on a person’s daily life can make this area of law challenging, but it is also what makes the work rewarding.

I take the responsibility of representing clients very seriously. For many people, this may be their first experience with the legal system, and it often comes during a difficult period in their lives. I want clients to feel heard, informed, and supported throughout the process, with confidence that they have someone advocating for their interests.

I am also proud to serve the diverse communities throughout Oakland and the Bay Area. Being fluent in both English and Farsi allows me to communicate with clients from a variety of backgrounds and help make the legal process more accessible and understandable. My goal is to provide every client with personal attention, clear communication, and dedicated representation from start to finish.
