Biography
Molly collaborates with clients in Bantam, Connecticut, to achieve their objectives through tailored and innovative legal solutions. As a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, her practice focuses on comprehensive estate planning, estate and trust administration, and elder law for families and individuals. In addition, she provides guidance on real estate and taxation matters.
Appointed by the Governor in 2013, Molly represents Connecticut as a delegate to the Uniform Law Commission, a national organization dedicated to promoting statutory uniformity. Molly has served as a Division Chair and contributed to several drafting committees, including efforts on the Uniform Trust Decanting Act, the Uniform Fiduciary Income and Principal Act, and more.
Molly is also a member of the Probate Court Rules Advisory Committee. This volunteer group is tasked with drafting updates to the Probate Practice Book, designed to establish uniformity in probate court practices and procedures. The updated rules were adopted by the Connecticut Supreme Court in 2012 and have recently been revised in 2023.
Before her current role at Harris Beach Murtha, Molly was a founding partner of Ackerly Brown LLP, established in 2001. From 1987 to 1994, she served as a Probate Judge for the District of Norfolk. During her tenure, Molly was on the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Probate Assembly and was the probate judge member of the Council on Probate Judicial Conduct from 1989 to 1994.
