Biography

Sitting as counsel and arbitrator, Martina draws from her professional experience in six jurisdictions across Europe, including as in-house counsel, to navigate through complex contractual setups and deal with international parties and organizations. She has acted under the ICC, DIS, ICDR, CAM, CEAC, WIPO, Swiss and UNCITRAL (ad hoc) Rules in arbitrations seated in Paris, Zurich, Munich, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, London and New York in sectors including construction and infrastructure projects, energy and natural resources, private equity, manufacturing and international sales. Martina also represents clients in expert determination, mediation proceedings and before Italian courts for post-award relief.

Martina is recognized in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch and Lexology Future Leaders Arbitration.

An Italian-qualified lawyer and a member of the Munich bar, Martina worked, inter alia, at a leading international law firm and the ICC International Court of Arbitration. The author of Privity of Contract in International Investment Arbitration: Original Sin or Useful Tool? (Kluwer Law International), Martina regularly publishes and speaks at international conferences and is a Co-Chair of AA40. A LUISS Guido Carli University graduate, Martina holds LL.M and doctorate degrees from the University of Lausanne, where she guest lectures.
