Martin Liebernickel

Dr Martin Liebernickel is a partner at POELLATH. He heads the department of succession and wealth planning at the Frankfurt office and advises well-known German family businesses and their shareholders, as well as high-net-worth individuals.

He is a seasoned practitioner and advises on domestic and international tax law, family-owned companies and family offices, asset structuring, cross-border estate structuring, including trusts, asset and company succession, voluntary self disclosures, inheritance disputes and settlements.

Martin joined POELLATH in 2017. Previously, he was a director at a "big-four" accountancy firm, leading the private client solutions group Frankfurt am Main (2003-2017) and working in the tax department at a "big four" accountancy firm in Stuttgart (1999-2003).

He admitted to the German bar in 1999 and admitted as tax advisor 2003. He studied law at the University of Tuebingen (Ph.D.; 1999).
