Marni M. K. Whitaker

Marni Whitaker is a partner practicing with Loopstra Nixon’s Wills, Trusts & Estates and Business Law groups.

Marni has extensive experience in all aspects of estate planning and administration including drafting and giving opinions on wills, powers of attorney, trusts, corporate reorganizations associated with estate planning, personal tax advice, advice and documentation relating to the Family Law Act, administration of estates, estate accounting problems, work for charitable and non-profit corporations, and general corporate work for private corporations.

Marni has given numerous speeches and written papers on trusts, estate and personal tax planning, charities, and powers of attorney legislation for continuing legal education programs of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, the International Bar Association, private legal education organizations and client and community groups. She is the author of two chapters of Widdifield on Executors and Trustees and has been Editor-in-chief of the Estates, Trusts and Pensions Journal for over fifteen years.
