Markus Weidmann

Markus Weidmann is a self-employed lawyer and tax expert and has been working at the law firm Weidmann Rechtsanwälte since 2016. He advises entrepreneurs and companies on national and international tax law. His areas of expertise are international tax law, corporate taxation and value added tax. He represents individuals and companies before authorities and courts.

Markus advises on the establishment, development and restructuring of nationally and internationally oriented companies and groups of companies. He deals with corporate taxes and the indirect tax aspects of the group of companies as well as the personal income taxes of senior executives. He negotiates the relevant tax rulings with the tax authorities and is responsible for their implementation.

Markus is a part-time judge at the Tax Appeals Court of the Canton of Zurich, co-author of various commentaries and regularly publishes in legal journals. His publications focus on international tax law, corporate restructuring and complex income tax issues.
