Biography
Mrs. Allen clerked for the Tenth Court of Appeals in Waco, Texas, under Chief Justice Rex Davis. Since that time, she has practiced civil appellate law and civil litigation.
Mrs. Allen currently serves as the Smith County Bar Association President. Additionally, she served as co-chair of the President’s Circle for the Smith County Bar Foundation in 2024-2025. Mrs. Allen is a presidential appointee to the American Board of Trial Advocates, and currently serves as the Secretary for the East Texas chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. She is also a candidate in the Jaworski Fellows Program at Baylor Law, a member of the Federalist Society, the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, Inn of Courts in the Eastern District of Texas, and the Appellate Section of the State Bar of Texas.
Beyond her professional achievements, Mrs. Allen has been actively involved in her community through Smith County Republican Women, Smith County Republican Club, Women’s Symphony League of the East Texas Symphony Orchestra, the Caldwell Arts Alliance, Three Lakes Middle School PTA, and Moore Middle School PTA. She is married to Adam Allen, who is an attorney and partner at Allen Thauwald, P.C. They have three boys who are active in sports and academics. They are members of Marvin Methodist Church. In her free time, she enjoys baking, painting, and spending time with her family.
