Marisa C. San Filippo is a Principal at Flicker Kerin LLP in Menlo Park, California. Her practice is devoted exclusively to family law matters throughout the Bay Area, including divorce, legal separation, child custody and visitation, property characterization and division, child and spousal support, paternity matters, and pre-marital and post-marital agreements. She is certified by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization in family law and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML).
Ms. San Filippo represents clients in a broad range of complex family law matters, including high-conflict custody disputes and high-asset financial cases. Her work includes matters involving business and partnership interests, equity compensation, goodwill, startups, venture capital, and real estate development. She also handles custody-related issues involving move-away requests, gatekeeping concerns, substance abuse, special needs accommodations, and conflicted co-parenting relationships. In addition to litigation, Ms. San Filippo works with clients participating in mediation as consulting counsel.
Before becoming a Principal at Flicker Kerin LLP, Ms. San Filippo worked with the firm as a law clerk during law school and joined the firm as an associate attorney after graduation. She became a partner in 2016 and continues to represent individuals and families in family law proceedings across Northern California.
Raised on the Peninsula, Ms. San Filippo remains active in the local community. She previously served for nine years on the Board of Sigma 1916, the housing corporation associated with her college sorority. She has also supported the Sequoia Hospital Foundation through volunteer work and now serves on the Foundation’s Board of Directors in honor of her late father.
