Marie Tedesco Scott is an experienced trial attorney who handles a variety of white-collar criminal defense, crisis management, and complex civil matters. Marie was recently included in the inaugural edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for her White-Collar criminal defense work. She was also named a 2019 and 2020 Super Lawyers Mid-South Rising Star for her defense work in White-Collar criminal matters.
Marie attended the University of Virginia, earned her J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law, and attended Boston University School of Law for a year as a visiting student. After law school, she served as a law clerk for Magistrate Judge Joe B. Brown and Magistrate Judge John Bryant, before joining Neal & Harwell.
Marie is a member of the Recruiting Committee and the Social Justice Task Force at Neal & Harwell. Her service extends beyond the law firm, as she is an active member of the Harry Phillips American Inn of Court. She was selected as a 2020 Fellow for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity, an organization comprised of corporate chief legal officers and private practice attorneys dedicated to creating a more open and diverse legal profession. Marie was Co-Chair for the Nashville Bar Association Nashville Student Suffrage Project Committee which worked to promote voter registration in the local high schools prior to the 2020 State and Federal elections. She was a member of the 2019 Class of the Nashville Bar Foundation Leadership Forum which provided her the opportunity to learn, collaborate, network, and serve the local community.
