Maria Rios Martinez

Maria Rios Martinez is an associate with Helsell Fetterman LLP in Seattle, Washington and a member of the firm’s Business and Real Estate and Land Use Practice Groups. Her practice focuses on advising businesses, property owners, and developers on transactional and governance matters involving Business Organizations (including LLCs and Partnerships), Closely Held Companies and Family Businesses Law, and Real Estate Law.

In her corporate practice, Maria works with companies throughout the business lifecycle. She assists with entity formation, corporate governance, operating and partnership agreements, acquisitions, strategic partnerships, reorganizations, asset and equity transfers, and partnership dissolutions. Her work frequently involves advising closely held companies and family-owned businesses on organizational structure, internal governance, and long-term planning.

Maria’s real estate practice includes a wide range of matters affecting residential and commercial properties in Washington. She drafts and negotiates purchase and sale agreements, commercial and residential leases, and easements, and advises clients on land use and zoning issues. She also represents clients in matters involving boundary line disputes and civil real estate partition actions.

She provides legal services to individuals, businesses, real estate developers, homeowners’ associations, and real estate professionals in connection with real estate transactions and disputes. Her work includes issues involving development and zoning, common interest communities, and other matters affecting property ownership and use.

Before joining Helsell Fetterman LLP, Maria practiced at the Bellevue law firm Jeppesen Gray Sakai P.S., where she worked on business and real estate matters for clients across the Puget Sound region.
