Marc Markel is Board Certified in both Residential Real Estate and Commercial Real Estate by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In practice for more than thirty-five years, Marc Markel is a founding partner of Roberts Markel Weinberg Butler Hailey. He specializes in handling all aspects of real estate transactions, litigation and community association representation.
Marc has authored master deed restrictions for numerous large residential, commercial and mixed-use projects. He has actively defended community associations and their volunteers in litigation and frequently assists developers through their due diligence process and acquisition of title. His representation of developers, builders and associations involves litigation avoidance techniques in which he conducts a thorough risk analysis program.
Mr. Markel also is a highly regarded speaker on real estate topics for various bar organizations and the Community Associations Institute (CAI). He is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible peer rating for both competence and ethics. He has earned recognition among the list of Texas Super Lawyers in Real Estate by Thomson Reuters from 2005-2012 and 2014-2019, and has been featured in the Super Lawyers, "Corporate Counsel" Edition in the area of Real Estate Law. He was recognized most recently for his real estate law practice in the 2020 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, the nation’s oldest peer-review guide to legal services.
