Biography
Marc-Antoine Côté is a skillful and versatile litigator with substantial trial and appellate experience in complex and high-stakes litigation matters.
Marc-Antoine acts in a wide range of civil and commercial cases, with a particular focus on finance, securities, financial fraud, shareholder disputes and defamation matters. He is also regularly involved in multi-jurisdictional cases, injunction proceedings and extraordinary remedies, including seizure before judgments and Mareva orders (asset freezing).
Marc-Antoine serves on the Young Advocates’ Standing Committee (YASC), a national committee of The Advocates’ Society, and co-chairs the Quebec sub-committee. He also co-coached the McGill University team participating in the Bora Laskin National Moot Court Competition. A Université Laval graduate, Marc-Antoine was a clerk at the Quebec Superior Court for the Honorable Marc Paradis and the Honorable Jacques G. Bouchard and studied European and International Law at the Sorbonne Law School in Paris.
Prior to his legal curriculum, Marc-Antoine pursued an advanced music path with education in jazz saxophone.
